Champions Anthony Joshua and Israel Adesanya Play ‘Truth or Dab’

Is boxing fixed? What’s UFC President Dana White‘s most negative trait? And what’s the last movie that made two-time and reigning unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua cry?

These questions were pretty hot, but they weren’t the only things that were burning when Joshua and UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya appeared on the hit internet show “Truth or Dab.” For those unfamiliar with the show, the concept is pretty simple — two contestants sit down with a plate of hot wings and are asked a series of questions by host Sean Evans. They can either answer the question, or if they refuse to do so eat a spicy (and we mean spicy) wing.

Because of Covid-related restrictions, both competed at their respective homes and called in via webcam.

We won’t recap the whole episode, which you can watch at the bottom of this page, but we’ll give you some quick highlights.

Evans opened up the show by asking Joshua his opinion on celebrities entering the boxing ring with no experience — professional internet troll Logan Paul, for example, is reportedly set to fight undefeated boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather (no, seriously).

“It’s bringing a whole new audience to the fight game,” Joshua responded. “I think that’s important.” The con, though, is that up-and-coming fighters have to wait their turn to be in the limelight in favor of these celebrities.

“It’s a Catch-22,” Joshua continued. “More eyes on the sport will give the grassroots talent more opportunity to expose their skills.”

Adesanya was asked what rule change he’d implement if he was in charge of the UFC — his answer: reverse the ban on the 12-6 elbow strike (right now, all elbow jabs must come at an angle). He’d also add more weight classes.

“As you get heavier, the gap starts to get a little wider,” he says.

To hear what else they had to say, and what questions they chickened out on (pun intended), check out the full video below.
