So long story short I get up at 4am to hit the gym, I don’t typically eat before I go but I have a big meal post workout. Is there any benefit to eating something before I lift?
I’m with Admin on this one.. I drink a shake and add in raw uncooked organic oats (yes they expand in the belly) about an hour before I head to the gym... on a personal level I perform better and have a better work out if I do this than when I’ve tried going in fasting.
I also do intra workout shakes with EAA’s. and a post meal which ends up being my last meal of the day and I try to keep this meal low in fat and 40g protein, 30-60g clean carbs and I swallow up BCAA’s as well.
